Now Enrolling in Virginia

The Little Strides Early Intervention Program is now underway at Herndon and Ashburn centers in Virginia! Designed to maximize the developmental potential during a child’s early years, we provide a tailored approach to building the foundational skills needed in a preschool-like setting.

With specialized support for ages 18 months to 6 years, our little learners are engaging in age-appropriate activities that align with a typical preschool curriculum, including science, language, math, and more. Through a customized blend of ABA strategies, this center-based program offers each child a structured, supportive environment designed to enhance learning and track meaningful progress.

Empowering Women in

Behavior Analysis

Proud Sponsor of the 2025 Conference

WIBA

We are proud to have sponsored the Women in Behavior Analysis (WIBA) Conference, standing alongside an inspiring community dedicated to empowering, mentoring, and celebrating women in our field. As an inclusive and vital platform for professionals to come together, WIBA provides an opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue around gender equality and the future of behavior analysis.

The two day event held last month at Loews Atlanta Hotel was a powerful reminder of the strength and progress we build through connection. From thought-provoking presentations on mentorship and diversity to innovative insights into organizational behavior management, we’re honored to support a forum that celebrates women in leadership and fosters lasting professional growth and collaboration.

Brighter Strides Named

“The Face of ABA”

Colorado Parent Magazine

Face of ABA

Our comprehensive approach to compassionate care has been recognized by Colorado Parent Magazine as “The Face of ABA!” The magazine kicked off its spotlight on our partnership with Colorado families last month with promotions of our in-home ABA, after-school programs, and daycare-based support. Soon to follow is a profile piece on Isaac Siegfried, our Regional Director for Colorado and Arizona, which should launch later this month.

As Isaac explains in the forthcoming article, “At Brighter Strides, we meet each child where they are and build care around their world, not the other way around. We believe real progress happens when therapy is flexible, compassionate, and rooted in trust with families.”

We are honored to be acknowledged by the “Go-To Parenting Guide in Colorado” and know their support will only strengthen our impact.

Congratulations to Lynda Elshaer

Promoted to Ashburn, VA Center Director

Lynda Elshaer

Congratulations to Lynda Elshaer who was recently promoted to Center Director in Ashburn.. A Virginia native, Lynda completed her undergrad at VCU in psychology and then her masters in Applied Behavior Analysis at Shenandoah University. Seeing the success of her first client, an 11 year old non-verbal client with little adaptive skills, and her family’s gratitude for achieving a potty training milestone—Lynda knew she wanted to become a BCBA.

Lynda wisely reflects on how the very life skills she teaches including emotional regulation and self-expression have inspired and shaped her own growth. We see these strengths—in emotional awareness, empathy, and self-reflection—shine through in her work as a BCBA and in the steady, supportive leadership she brings to our team.

Please join us in congratulating Lynda on her deserved promotion and this exciting next chapter.

Celebrating the Next Big Step for

Elaine Woods

 An Expanded Regional Role

Elaine Woods

With a bachelor’s in Psychology and a master’s in ABA from University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), Elaine Woods brings a strong academic foundation to her work. Joining Brighter Strides Maryland in 2022 as a BCBA, Elaine was quickly promoted to Assistant Clinical Director in 2023, Clinical Director of Maryland just one year later, and now we celebrate her promotion to Regional Clinical Director of Maryland and Oklahoma.

Elaine’s passion for Behavior Analysis began in college, where she was immediately drawn to the field’s science, its structure, clarity, and evidence-based approach. Soon after hearing a guest lecturer share real-world applications of ABA, she became a research assistant which solidified her path toward becoming a BCBA.

Please join us in congratulating Elaine on her expanded role. We are excited for her to connect with the Oklahoma team, learn from the inspiring work already happening there, and support the region’s continued growth.

Summertime Food and Fun

Brighter Strides Team Events in the South

asas

Brighter Strides is celebrating the season at creative team outings filled with laughter, great conversation, and delicious food. In Northern Virginia, our crew gathered at Lake Fairfax Park on July 13th for a hibachi-style picnic followed by water park fun with smiles and splashes all around. Down in Georgia, the energy was just as high with rounds of pickleball, outdoor games, food and drinks, and awesome prizes.

Thank you to everyone who planned and attended these memorable events. Your energy and enthusiasm made each gathering a true success. We look forward to more opportunities like these to highlight the incredible community we’ve built together.
